Written in the wake of a pilgrimage to Mexico’s Wirikuta desert, Lagartijeando’s EP Wirikuta expands his psychedelic cumbia universe with a more grounded, cinematic touch. Andean charangos, bombo legüero percussion, and downtuned sonidero textures weave through cumbia chicha and hip-hop-leaning rhythms, creating a lush electronic journey inspired by desert landscapes, ritual movement, and the communal spirit of celebration.
