Following 2020’s stellar “Soft Power”, Poirier has been quietly crafting a sleek and sultry remix EP to kick off Summer 2021. “Me Leva” (which means “Take Me” in Portugeuse) is the first super smooth cut, a cozy yet slick reimagining features new guitars from fellow Montrealer Diogo Ramas which emphasizes the bossa nova vibe of the original track. Next up is the superb restyling of Poirier’s “Café Com Leite” by another Montreal producer and vocalist: Boogát. This flip of “Soft Power”’s standout track features the addition of brilliant horns and Latin percussion, transforming the dreamy original into a tropical house heater. Haitian producer Gardy Girault was a natural choice for the third remix of “Nou Pare” (“We’re Ready”, in Haitian creole) which features singer Coralie Hérard, also from Haiti. This remix recasts the song as a deep yet tasteful house anthem. Finally, young up-and-comer SIM from Montreal flexes Porier’s modern dancehall burner “Pull Up Dat” featuring frequent collaborator Red Fox into a set-ready banger.

With his first album dating back to 2001, Poirier is a prolific, creative and eclectic Canadian producer / musician with a 20 year journey of creating music.
