El Búho (aka Robin Perkins) returns to Wonderwheel with the first single from the second volume of his “Tributaries” compilation, a remix of The Garifuna Collective’s “Ideruni (Help).” The Belizean group is at the forefront of bringing the unique garifuna culture from Central America to the world; El Búho incorporates organic sounds with Latin rhythms to create rich, textural electronic works. His remix of “Ideruni” builds on the track’s original groove and swing but tweaks it towards the dancefloor, adding chopped vocals, a driving snare and a sliced up flute line.
“Ideruni (Help) [El Búho Remix]” is out on June 24th, with the full remix compilation to follow in September on Wonderwheel Recordings.
