The second single, Water of Life (Spiritual Mix), offers a housier take on the original title track. With Maajo’s former vocalist Waina having left the group, new vocals were recorded—Gilbert K delivers a fresh spiritual chant. The track features virtuoso Issiaka Dembele’s kora, which evolves into a deep, synthetic bassline, alongside newly written balafons, felt piano, and other textures. The result is not just a remix, but a version that demanded to be created.
