The artistic projects of Sofía Viola and Chancha Vía Circuito were born in the same year and, curiously, within the same geographic area. Both Sofía and Pedro developed their projects in the southern suburbs of Buenos Aires, where, over 20 years ago, they shared nights of underground music and theater in the neighborhood of Temperley.

During the pandemic, they were invited to a concert where their musical styles were meant to intertwine; that is how this joint project was born. Both were delighted by those improvisations, so they decided to give them shape and compose new songs. As time passed, everything took on a mysterious, mystical, and spiritual tone. Thus, “Oro en Ti” (Gold in You) was born.

Most of these compositions revolve around themes of devotion and connection with the divine, music, nature, and humanity. At a time when the world is exploding in chaos, faith and hope are essential for survival. The musical influences of this work explore Latin American territories and the sounds of the East.
