Water of Life Dance Dubs introduces Maajo Soundsystem, the electronic sub-project of the Finnish-African group Maajo. This album revisits and reimagines the band’s 2022 release Water of Life (Wonderwheel Recordings), transforming its organic instrumentation into vibrant arrangements built on vintage drum machines and synthesizers. These stripped-down, dancefloor-ready versions go beyond a simple remix, enriched with new balafons, percussion, and vocals by Senegalese artist Ismaila Sané and Mauritian Gilbert K.
